Blackwell PTSA Enrichment is delighted to collaborate with the S-ON Chinese School to offer weekly after school Chinese Language (Mandarin) classes. 

the Program:

The curriculum of S-ON Chinese School aligns closely with China’s domestic language standards while striving to ignite students' interest in learning Chinese. We are dedicated to developing innovative overseas children’s Chinese proficiency, ensuring they can both speak and understand Chinese. 

To enable a comprehensive and systematic study of Chinese Pinyin, we will combine the winter and spring courses into 17 sessions, with only one registration window.

Course Themes Include:

1. Chinese Pinyin (15 lessons)
   • Recognize and distinguish initials, finals, and whole-syllable phonetic units.
   • Master pinyin pronunciation, potentially achieving direct reading fluency.
2. Immersion in Traditional Chinese Culture (2 lessons)
   • Integrated with Chinese traditional festivals, this module uses various forms to explore and experience traditional culture, such as Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, or Dragon Boat Festival.
