Our PTSA supports Blackwell programs in very critical ways, and without your generosity some of Blackwell’s programs and events will not happen.  Here are just some of the programs that fundraising will fund this year: 

• Student Academic Aid Fun (Scholastic Guided Readers, AM and AR)
• Special grants for Curriculum Aids, library books, staff development and more
• Assemblies, in school field trips
• Art Start
• Vision and Hearing screening

Please note that nearly 80% of the PTSA budget is consumed by the first four items, and these are programs that benefit each and every child that attends Blackwell and ensures that Blackwell remains an enriching experience for our children. While the PTSA facilitates after school activities and socials, these events nearly completely self-funded. Blackwell PTSA is a 501(3)c nonprofit charitable organization. If you work for a corporation, such as Microsoft or Boeing, that offers a matching gift program, your gift to Blackwell can be doubled. Please ask your Human Resources department for information, fill out the proper forms, and return them to the office, Attn:  Blackwell PTSA's treasurer.  For all other companies, please designate "Elizabeth Blackwell PTSA" as the recipient organization.
