What is Pass the Hat?
When is a fundraiser both easy and
rewarding? When you participate in Pass
the Hat. This program directs your
monetary donations directly to your
Blackwell PTSA. It’s that simple.
Who does the money help?
Your financial contribution makes many
of the things we’ve come to expect and
enjoy at Blackwell possible. A glimpse
of where your money goes: field trip
buses, assemblies, curriculum aids, Art
Start, math events, safety patrol, and
library books… just to name a few. For
these programs and purchases to
continue, we need your support.
What should I give?
We simply ask that each family make a
donation to the best of their ability.
We are sometimes asked, “How much should
my family give?” We have been
successful in the past by setting a goal
of $100 per family. Please know that
all levels of donation are greatly
appreciated! Remember, your donations
are tax deductible and we’ll be glad to
provide you with a receipt.
How do I make my contribution?
There are several easy ways to
contribute:
-
Simply send a check made out to
Blackwell PTSA. You may return it
in your child’s school folder
(a.k.a. “kid mail”) or send it via
U.S. mail to Blackwell. Please
complete and include the attached
form.
-
Remember,
many employers will match their
employee’s philanthropic
contribution, making your money go
twice as far!!! Just check with
your employer(s) and submit a
“matching funds” form, usually found
on the company’s employee website.
On behalf of the teachers and students
of Blackwell, thank you in advance for
your contribution
and support of our learning community.
Your generosity does make a
difference!
