Pantry Pack Food Drive - February 4 - ?, 2019

 

Help feed our local community! Last year Blackwell Elementary donated 275 pantry packs for food insecure children on the Eastside. The student council and PTSA Sharing is Caring is sponsoring another pantry pack food drive with the goal of making 300 packs. Pantry Packs Food Drive on February 4-?, 2019.  

  • Student Council will be creating the packs on Friday the 8th.  
  • We need 10 parent Volunteers to assist student council on UPDATING SOON! 
  • We also need 3 parent volunteers to drive the pantry packs to Hopelink in Redmond on UPDATING SOON! at 9:30am.
  • Please contact Maggie Hunkins (maggiehunkins@gmail.com) if you would like to be a volunteer. 

We are asking for specific donations to be dropped off outside each classroom in plastic bags:

Kindergarten:       Instant oatmeal packets, granola bars, protein or fiber bars

1st grade:          Ramen or cup of noodles

2nd grade:          Microwave popcorn, PB sandwich crackers, snack packs: pretzels, goldfish, etc

3rd grade:          Mac n cheese

4th grade:          Canned fruit or vegetables, go go squeezers/applesauce pouches

5th grade:          Canned MAIN DISH - ravioli, chili, stew, hearty soup w/meat, beans & legumes

Quest:             Hearty snacks:  jerky, trail mix, nuts, protein bars + MAIN DISH (see above)

*Please donate your plastic grocery bags too, as they are used to pack the supplies*
