LWSD Ballot Measure Results
Both levies passed, bond failed.  The LWSD Bond and Levy election results are in: the Educational Program and Operations Levy and the Capital Projects levy both passed, but the Bond, which was to address school capacity and overcrowding did not receive the 60% approved vote to pass.  We had a voter turnout of approximately 33%. Did you know that 740 children in the Lake Washington school district would go hungry without Pantry Packs over the weekend? Hopelink’s Pantry Packs program provides weekend packs of food for approximately 740 LWSD students who are identified as being “food insecure.” With community donations of kid-friendly food and funds, 40-50 volunteers come together each month to “pack the packs” at Hopelink’s Kirkland/Northshore warehouse. Volunteer drivers then deliver the packs to schools where the packs get into the hands of hungry children. Help feed our local community!
