April 2019 Critical Projects Levy LWSD will have a Capital Projects Levy will on the April 23, 2019 ballot. LWSD needs more classrooms for students to support our rapid enrollment growth. LWSD's highest priorities is creating safe schools and maintaining quality classrooms. The 2019 levy maintains the current tax rate with no rate increase Why does LWSD need a levy? LWSD is growing rapidly. LWSD's official October 1 student enrollment was 29,987 students. For the last 10 years, from 2008 to 2018, the district's enrollment grew by approximately 620 students each year. That is the size of a large elementary school. ... read full article

      Pantry Pack Food Drive - February 4 - 8, 2019   Help feed our local community! Last year Blackwell Elementary donated 275 pantry packs for food insecure children on the Eastside. The student council and PTSA Sharing is Caring is sponsoring another pantry pack food drive with the goal of making 300 packs. Feed Washington Pantry Pack Program Winter Drive
Have you heard of Lake Washington School Foundation's (LWSF) Pantry Packs program? The LWSF Pantry Packs program was developed to help the 800 students in the LWSD (including, 160 in Sammamish) who have been identified as food insecure, which means that food in the house is not always a given.
