Elizabeth Blackwell PTSA

Nominate a Great Blackwell Educator - a Fabulous School Volunteer

Nominations are now being accepted!  Please help us recognize our outstanding volunteers and educators!
Blackwell Elementary's PTSA annually recognizes outstanding volunteer and educational service by awarding the Bronze Bobcat, Golden Acorn and Outstanding Educator Awards.

All recipients promote the mission of the PTSA: To enhance the educational experience of children and their families by working in partnership with teachers, educational staff, and local community. The PTSA gives each child a legislative voice while providing safe, fun and educationally enriched activities, supported by its own fundraising. A committee of past recipients will make the final selection, and will present the awards at the Volunteer Appreciation Tea in June.  Please help us select deserving volunteers and educators from our community this year. There are three types of recognition awards:

The Golden Acorn Award is a special award presented to a volunteer in recognition of exemplary dedication and service to children and youth within our PTSA, school and community. A $70 contribution in the name of the recipient(s) is given by Blackwell PTSA to the WA State PTA Scholarship Program for grants to freshman students entering post-secondary education.

The Outstanding Educator Award was created to recognize individuals who have provided outstanding educational opportunities for children and youth that are beyond the normal expectations of their jobs, to make the learning environment fun, beneficial, and challenging.

The Bronze Bobcat Award is in recognition of outstanding volunteer service to Blackwell Elementary and its students.
